about us and our pomskies
First of all, we only have 4 dogs and a Chihuahua and the Chihuahua isn't really a dog, he is a little human in a dog costume. Don't believe us, ask him. lol Anyway, only having 4 dogs in our Pomsky breeding program allows us to provide these beautiful animals hands on individual attention and they are generally out and about with us around the ranch daily and DO NOT spend their lives locked up in a kennel out of sight of their humans parents. Most times Flar is lying at our feet at the foot of our recliners here in the house at night. Niko seems to like the middle of our bed - oh well, bedding is cheap. Yes, they are kenneled up during the night and when we are away in order to keep them and everyone safe, which includs any food left out on the counter (hahahaha) AND, their outside covered kennel area measures 24 feet by 16 feet, making it nice and roomy with a heated and air conditioned (when needed) kennel building.
That being said, I will continue - when searching for female Huskies as mothers to our Pomskies, we chose only show quality dogs because WE WILL ONLY BREED SUPERIOR SHOW QUALITY DOGS WITH PERFECT OR NEAR PERFECT CONFORMATION. The reason for this is, superior quality parents, produce superior quality pups. After much searching we finally found our two girls and, during our search, there were so many which did just not "cut the mustard" even though ALL were beauties in our eyes, just not of the caliber to be producing puppies. As you can see from the pictures of our girls, they are some of the best and most correctly put together Huskies out there.
AND, since deciding to obtain the best Pomeranian males available and, UNLIKE MOST POMSKIES BREEDERS OUT THERE, WE HAVE ACQUIRED OUR POMS FROM LINES OF SHOW CHAMPIONS OF SOME OF THE TOP CHAMPIONS IN THE COUNTRY OF THEIR ORIGIN AND FROM MANY TOP CHAMPION POMERANIAN LINES HERE IN THE US. THEY WILL PRODUCE SOME OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY POMSKIES OUT THERE, WHICH WILL HAVE SUPERIOR CONFORMATION AND BE OF BETTER QUALITY THAN MOST POMSKIES ON THE MARKET TODAY. What this creates is some of the cutest, sweetest, most loving pups possible who are perfectly put together like the quality parents they come from. We have also found that the mixed breeds tend to be healthier and not prone to some of the many hereditary defects which affect both Huskies and Poms.

about us and our maine coons
We are a small cattery located one hour north of Sacramento California in the foothills of beautiful Northern California. Several years ago while attending a CFA cat show with a friend, we absolutely fell in love with the beautiful and majestic Maine Coon. We immediately researched this beautiful animal and where we could obtain one of quality with good health and a great personality. It took us several months but found our first male from Champion parents back East and excitedly sent the breeder our deposit on the next show quality male she could produce AND the rest is history. It has been such a happy journey since that time, in putting together a quality cattery populated with quality show animals, WHO HAVE ALL BEEN OR ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BEING SCREENED FOR EVERY POSSIBLE GENETIC DEFECT, in which to make our name in the Conformation Show Ring and do what we could to improve and promote this beautiful majestic breed.
Our primary goal is to breed for health, temperament and quality physical conformation so we produce PERFECTION and create better than what we started with AND like we keep saying, SUPERIOR QUALITY OFFSPRING ONLY COME FROM SUPERIOR PARENTS . Improvement in the breed is our paramount goal and our mission is making sure all of the offspring we produce, go to indoor loving PET homes.
When we do have a litter of these fabulous babies they only go to loving indoor PET homes, as we said, and no kitten is EVER placed into any breeding program under any circumstance. All of our kittens are with us and their moms until they are at least 10 weeks old.
None of our adults or kittens are EVER caged. Our cats and kittens share our home with us and our dogs so when our kittens leave here, they are much loved and well socialized. Everyone generally runs loose in the rooms we allow them in and can come and go as they please to outside catios and secure grassy areas. Yes, this can cause a lot of chaos, especially at meal prep times when everybody wants a little taste of "what's for dinner". Since we allow our angels to go where they want to be, we do not try and keep them from climbing on things so, when meal prep time comes along it's REALLY FUNNY TO SIT BACK AND WATCH!!!
Since we have several adult male cats, we have several rooms in our home with each male having its own inside and outside area which house them in a rotation routine which keeps everybody happy and prevents any mischief. Additionally, our males just seem to be better behaved than the average un-neutered male adult cat. Our many kitty litter boxes are cleaned several times daily and we only use clumping kitty litter. We also use mortar tubs from Home Depot instead of those teeny tiny two inch deep "thingys" they sell at Walmart they call kitty litter pans. I cringe for the poor Maine Coon which only get to use those teeny tiny "thingys". Poor poor kitties!!! We liken that to us having to potty in a coffee cup. That being said, we seldom have problems regarding smelly kitty litter boxes.
Anyway, we have found that the Maine Coons love being around us and will goes as far as to follow us from room to room to make sure we are within sight and then they will lay off to the side content to be able to see their human mom and dad. They are also extremely affectionate in that they will crawl up in your lap and lovingly bite your chin with their little love bites. Of the many cats we have had over the years, non have been as affectionate as the Maine Coons with their need to "give these little love bites". Additionally, we find that if they are in a bad mood, they will let you know it by batting at you with a "nails-out-paw". They are basically a no-nonsense cat in that they let you know when they are having a "bad hair day" and I blame this on their above average intelligence. One adorable habit the Maine Coons has is the sweet way in which they talk and croon to you when they are bothered or concerned about something. Additionally, the moms are all very vocal with their babies and communicate with them constantly.
As kittens and young adults the Maine Coon can be quite energetic running from room to room jumping from this piece of furniture to the next and when things start to get a little out of hand, it is time to get out the squirt bottle filled with tap water and start letting them know what they can and cannot do.
For years we tried to keep our cats and kittens from climbing up on counters and the like and just gave up knowing that the habit with most cats is to climb up on things as protection from predators. In other words this habit of climbing up high is deep seated in their DNA and you are basically fighting mother nature trying to get them to stop what most people would call a bad habit. You have to love love love these beauties when the day comes when you walk into your kitchen and find your 30 pound male Maine Coon eating your newly cooked steak sandwich and not get mad at him. Instead, you cut some of it up and share it with him instead. You simply cannot lose your temper with these beauties. In our eyes they simply cannot do any wrong but are simply being a "cat" and doing what cats do.
Our goal is to place what few kittens we have available in loving pet homes with human companions that will make all of their lives heaven on earth. The human parents who will make sure they have appropriate vet care on a regular basis and are kept up-to-date with their vaccines and are wormed on a yearly basis along with making sure they are kept free of fleas and other external parasites. Human parents who will make sure they have the very best of food and treats. Human parents who makes sure they have that super duper custom cat tree that cost that little bit extra because you know they will like that one better than the one you saw at Walmart. Human parents that makes sure they have enough toys to play with so they will NEVER get bored or lonely while you are in bed at night or away at work during the day. Human parents that provide loving and quality care for these fabulous felines as much as they would provide to their human children. And human parents that make sure all of their needs are completely fulfilled so they want for nothing.
Above is our goal for any kittens we may have available and if you feel you can fulfill the above then do not hesitate to give us a call and/or go to our available kittens page and see if we may have what you have been looking for. If we do, simply go to our contact page and send us a message or, better yet, telephone us. Thanks for reading this long narrative and we look forward to hearing from you.
